- Tell us in detail about the Calibike – how it works, and its effect on sustainability. As a new player in the electric bike scene, what impact do you see yourself making in the saturating sustainable market?
I had medical issues with driving and started looking at alternatives. I bought an ebike but it was very heavy and slow. I started experimenting with faster and lighter. My first ebike was 55lb and 30mph my second had a goal of 40lb and 40mph. Actual built was 48lb and 35moh. My 3rd build was 35lb 25mph.
At this point i invented something called calisensor which could log real time power while i was riding my ebike. I used it to build 30c3 30lb 30mph
This gave me comfort to sell ebikes
- You are said to be the only Indian American leader in the electric bike sector. As an innovator what would you say led to the successful conceptualization of your idea.
- While the bike stands to create revolutionary changes in the sustainability sector, talk to us about the business model or financial aspect of your innovation. How important was it for you that this innovation is also financially viable and was it a challenge to work around it?
- Calibike has also very swiftly established itself as a market leader. In no time it has become the number one seller of E-bike batteries in the US – these achievements are a dream for any innovator. What led to this success.
- What is your message to innovators, disruptors and entrepreneurs who may have unique ideas but are scared to take the plunge
- You sold your car and are now managing with your E bike; you also said that your fast 33c3 ebike turns out to be 20% faster than cars according to google and strava. Tell us some more
- What would you say about the scope of green mobility in the business sector?
