Battery: By the time I got back to starting point total distance was 24.7 miles. Display still showed all full bars except the half bar that is at the right side of the icon (961 display) When I got home, the battery took 1 1/2 hrs to fully recharge. I estimate the battery was about 25% depleted with 75% left to cutoff voltage.

The kit is ok, the 22 amp controller was only putting out 18 tops.
The charger was loose in the shipping box and damaged the battery and charger connector.
Rafe got impatient and ghosted me.

All I can say is wow. This kit has all the torque I could ever need, almost flipped my bike! Made it up to 45+ mph with ease. Parts seem to be nice quality so I hope it stands the test of time.

I purchased this package and initially had the original controller that came with it blow out a transistor on my first ride and stopped working. Catastrophic damage on the controller.
HOWEVER – I contacted Rafe about the problem and received outstanding A+ service. He sent me a replacement controller, a better one even, capable of handling higher current, and I sent him the damaged one back.
The new controller works INCREDIBLY, and the entire setup has amazed me with HIGH POWER PERFORMANCE!! This setup, with a 72 V lithium battery, HAULS ASS!!!! I was shocked at how powerful this system is!!
Overall, despite the disappointments of the initial controller, I am no extremely satisfied and happy with the product, and would gladly recommend Rafe and Calibike to anyone interested in getting involved with ebikes.

Awesome Product! All the bells and whistles you’d expect and then some. With the 72v matching battery, I easily achieved 48+ mph. I weigh over 260lbs. This kit has so much torque it is really unbelievable. Customer Service is A++. Rafe is a very knowledgeable, honest individual who will go the extra mile for his customers. Very prompt delivery. Gracious amount of items included in the kit, as well as above par quality parts. Competitively priced. The only downside was that the spokes weren’t tightened, so a bit of truing needed to be done to the rim. After i set up everything and got rolling. WOW! Torque, torque, and some torque to spare. This motor can definitely flatten some hills. 5 out of 5 for me.
